How do you feel learning from a person who has already gone through the study abroad process, completed his higher studies, interned and worked for several companies in US ? Can you benefit listening to someone who has taken the GRE, TOEFL exams, wrote SOPs, submitted LORs, applied to universities, received multiple admits, got a visa and flew abroad ?

The above were some of the questions I had in my mind when I was planning to go for my higher studies in US. What if I could talk to someone who has already seen things, been there and done that. Then I would feel much more confident about my next step and will know the outcomes of my actions. With the hope of finding these things I joined a consultancy with a brand name. To my surprise the things I learned from the third persons didn't help much and I had ended up wasting my time and money on something that was not worthy.

When it is your first time entering an unfamiliar territory, you need someone who can help you and guide you to succeed in your new path. When I landed in US I thought I knew most of the things about my university, courses, jobs etc and was dumb enough to ignore a lot of things which taught me many lessons the hard way. And I was not alone many of my fellow aspirants were in the same boat. I wondered why didn't anyone back home tell us about these things and also realized that you cant explain these things to others unless you have experienced them yourself.
