A phrase which best describes a scenario when you focus on two or multiple things at once, just like you cannot stand/row on 2 boats together for a long time. When you are not satisfied with what you are doing and you wish to continue the same along with focusing on a thing/work you love doing, you can't give your best for both. We often do multi-tasking and feel that we can manage or excel at both things but it won't last long.
A person who runs a business cannot focus on things which are not related to his/her line of work or anything which distracts him/her.
