PROCRASTINATE

We all want to do many things in life, achieve greater feats, strive to lead a better life. When you start doing things on your to-do-list, the list grows with each passing day but the number of things you get to finish on a daily basis will more or less remain the same. After sometime you start prioritizing things which may not keep you happy but is a necessity to lead a normal life. Even the smallest of things you could have done gets postponed for one or the other reason.


When you dedicate most of your precious time to things which may not help you in future or keep you happy in the present, you will start procrastinating things which matter the most. The people who are used to a monotonous life style often find it hard to adapt or put in the efforts needed to do those simple things which make them happy. There are a large number of people who agree that they are struggling with depression & are not able to come out of it.


The solution to the problem might be to start with a fresh approach where you value those little things which make you happy, prioritize your happiness over other works from time-to-time. In order to avoid postponement of things, start by taking up small tasks which may take few minutes to finish in your list and break down larger tasks, do them in chunks while you still contribute majority of your time to the top priority items in your list. Practice and perfect!
