How can I reach out to people who are in need of our services ? Is there a way to address the problems faced by my target audience ? Well, who are my target audience ?
Can sharing posts, updates, running ads, using distribution channels help me and my business get more clients ? Do people trust the content we post on social media ? Are there any easy ways to channel the right set of leads ? Can a blog help us ?
Do people still read blogs in this era ? Here is a fact, each month approximately 409 million people view more than 20 billion pages online. Well then it must be good to start a blog and post some content. What type of content do people read ? Do I need to post only about the services we offer to our clients ? We didn't want to do direct selling through our blog posts but wanted to offer real value through our content.
This blog has been titled "My Story - The 100th Blog" but all I am reading here is random questions not linked to any story. Ahhh sorry about that. My story has 2 parts, the one which lead to start my company "PathfinderNRI" and the one which I am about to share.
If you had missed my 1st part of the story, you can read it here - https://www.pathfindernri.com/post/why-i-quit-my-6-figure-salary-job-in-us
It has been 2 years since I started my company "PathfinderNRI". I didn't choose to start my company for the sake of making money by doing what my competitors in the market are doing. But rather to offer more value to our clients than what our competitors did. This sounds like what every other business owner in the market says, right ? Let me tell you what I did differently. PathfinderNRI is a business which offers Study Abroad, Start-up and Career Services to aspiring students, people who aspire to go the distance.
If you are a student who signed-up for our study-abroad services in order to pursue an MS in US, our process helps you right from choosing a degree, shortlisting universities, application, SOPs, LORs, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, coaching, visa processing, etc. Well this is what any other study abroad consultancy would do. We also help you to understand how to navigate your career once you go abroad, how to secure the right internship and job to align with your career goals, provide you with an action plan.
If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, we help you right from the ideation phase, market research, rapid-prototyping, validation, business model, marketing & sales strategies, mentoring, scaling-up your business across the country and globally. In this segment we have served clients from US, Canada, Qatar, Saudi, UK, Australia, Italy etc. to name a few. Some of the first few clients we signed-up were through referrals and known contacts. The word of mouth from our initial clients lead to signing up more clients from a single source/contact. The feedback we get from our clients enables us to be the best.
The last year was quite challenging for us like any other business. The fact that we wanted to establish our branches across various cities in Karnataka starting from Hubli and later in mangalore, mysore, tumkur, etc. was affected by the pandemic. We switched our programs to online and conducted various workshops to students in fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Career Development programs, Innovation workshops, etc. online. These things helped us to dynamically evolve on the go.
We had received 100s of requests from businesses, online platforms, competitors, seeking our collaboration and partnership during the pandemic. The impact of the pandemic on businesses was such that it had sent shock-waves across various sectors and industries both locally and globally. We have streamlined our work and are now efficiently managing our day-to-day operations virtually. The revival of demand is key to the growth of economy and businesses globally.
If you are a student or a job seeker, remember that this phase of uncertainty shall soon pass but think about the long-term prospects and outcomes of the fields/careers you choose. The recovery will be time-taking and the next downfall is bound to happen several years from now, the question is will you be prepared enough to withstand & grow during those times as well ? In a country like India which accounts for a major informal economy, it is important to drive a sustainable growth in all sectors.
We have learnt many lessons in the past year which are helping us to keep our clientele better informed on the long-term prospects of their careers and business growth. The places where the risk is higher the rewards are bigger too but it is of utmost importance to take calculated risks which can yield you the best possible results all time. Focus on what you want to achieve in the short-term and where you wish to go in the long-term.
