In a move to take social networking, gaming, virtual interactions, meetings, to another level metaverse plays a key role. The global pandemic has caused several interruptions to normal life and a virtual world offers a solution to remain connected.
Metaverse is a means to more than being connected. When the aspects of real world are brought into a virtual space and create a user experience which exceeds human limitations of real world, that is where the metaversa is headed. A good example would be if you could wear the type of dress customized for you in order to attend a concert halfway across the world, meet with people to network in a virtual environment, that is a metaverse experience.
Many technology companies are building the necessary infrastructure to enable & support the scaling of a platform like metaverse. All this might sound too futuristic, the applications of it in the current situation might be very less relevant to the problems faced by the population.
