HIBERNATION

Have you heard about this term 'Hibernation'? During winter season there are certain types of animals in colder regions who go into a dormant state by reducing the overall metabolism of the body, this phenomena is called as hibernation. Some animals stay in hibernation for a duration of up to 180 days. These animals resume their normal activities post hibernation with the increase in body temperature, food consumption, increased metabolic activity. The bodies of these animals can adapt according to the changing weather situations.

In humans there is no biological process of hibernation but there are times when you go into dormant states and don't feel like performing any activities or reduce the activities to a minimum. While some tend to travel or isolate and slow down the activities until they can get back to a normal steady state, there are others who do this to increase their overall productivity or to find balance in life. The natural tendency to rest after long duration of physical or mental work leads to pursuing a state of passiveness to rejuvenate.

If you observe closely any type of work you start with full of enthusiasm, after a period of time the enthusiasm starts to fade away but you still continue to do the work till it's done. This is true with respect to job search, business, relationships, goals, etc. in life. In order to keep going an important motivation factor is the thought of what awaits in the next step of your journey. Remember that life is joyful even with those little imperfections, misses, failures, disappointments, etc and they will make your journey a memorable one always!
