FARMING

Have you or someone in your family ever tried growing a crop? If 'YES', then you know the amount of time, effort and resources it needs to get a proper yield in hands. If 'NO', then you should really visit someone who owns a farm and grows crops to learn how the process is done. In the fast food era, you go to a restaurant and order food which gets delivered in 10 -15 mins on your table. And if it takes more time, you start reacting in all ways possible.

What if you had grown your own crop, cooked food out of the yield you got and served it to others as well? May be you would have reacted differently to a waiter at the restaurant or you would wait patiently for the food to be served! I think we are not far from the day when most of us turn back to old ways of owning/farming a piece of land, growing our own crops and living a healthy lifestyle. The global pandemic may have been that wake-up call everyone needed and an attention towards the change of trajectory for future generations.

If you look at the past few centuries, there was never a time the resources were exploited to the extent it has happened in the past few decades. In the name of development, modernization & globalization, the ancient wisdom of preserving soil, growing nutrient rich crops are being lost. With the increased usage of chemicals, fertilizers, the crops that are being grown are causing more harm to human life. A massive change is necessary to boost organic farming as a career option for people to live a happy and healthy lifestyle!
