How important is your designation at your workplace? This may matter most to people who are just joining a company or entering the industry post their studies. This will also matter when it is time for a raise or promotion at your organization. But what actually matters is the job satisfaction you get because of a particular job role and the onus of delivering the work assigned to you from time to time. Many people change their jobs in search of the same.
Does a designation matter to a person who runs his/her own business? An aspiring entrepreneur may wish to be one's own boss not because of the title but because of the responsibility which comes along with it which makes all the difference for the success and growth of the company. One may aspire to grow his/her career in a company where there are ample opportunities to showcase their talents and skills being valued.
At times many feel that their worth is being undervalued and/or not adequately compensated for but still continue to work for the same company because of the job satisfaction, sense of belonging, good work-life balance, team, work atmosphere, etc. There are people who lead with 'No Titles'. These people are those champion players who give their best & above each time to make their teams win. For them designation won't mean much on any given day!
