DEPRESSION

A topic which was not so main stream a decade ago is now a common phenomenon in the society. Many youngsters today are undergoing various challenges in their daily lives at homes, workplaces, social places, etc., which are adding immense pressure to their over-burdened lives. The reasons may be due to high expectations, luxury lifestyle, peer pressure, comparisons, ego, etc., which is pushing them into a depressed phase.

This may happen to any person regardless of age and gender. A phase where you like to isolate from the world, not keen on looking forward to something new or exciting the next day, trying to fix a problem which you are not sure of, looking inward for reasons to blame yourself etc. If you are an introvert the phase of depression can be much more stressful to you as you don't like to seek help through others and try to fix things on your own.

One way to curb the signs of depression is to lead a balanced life by treating your ups and downs the same way. While it is easy to fall for fame, money, popularity, status, etc., it is important to stay neutral and be yourself rather than pretending to be someone you are not. When you understand and follow this, you will celebrate those little moments, occasions spent with your closed ones and cherish the happiness you have in your life all time!
